LAS VEGAS, Nev. – At the RMax Grand Final
awards banquet, SSC Racing, U.S. distributor for Rotax Max karting,
recently announced FK Motorsports, the Florida region RMax distributor
in Panama City, Fla., as the 2002 RMax Regional Distributor-of-the-Year.
“Many factors were considered when we made this decision”,
commented SSC CEO Joe Ramos. “Most obvious was the total
number of units sold by the distributor, but just as important
to us was the distributor’s ability to advance the long
term goals of the RMax program. I don’t think anyone can
question the abilities and success of Bill Wright (President of
FK Motorsports and Formula Kart Productions) in the area of race
event administration. His events are what his competitors judge
all other karting events against, at whatever level they race.
From pre-tech to results posting, he covers it all, completely.
He was the first, and so far, the only Regional RMax Challenge
program to run ‘Rotax only’ races. He ran a total
of three separate challenges in his region, ultimately providing
the opportunity for 64 Florida region competitors to attend the
2002 U.S. RMax Grand Finals.
“Eventually Bill was able to bring 27 drivers to the event,
by far the largest single group of Regional Competitors at this
event. We have no doubt that this program has been greatly enhanced
by FK Motorsports’ participation, and for that reason we
are proud to name FK Motorsports as the RMax Regional Distributor-of-the-Year
for 2002,” Ramos explained. |
