Although
looking forward to next weeks Rotax U.S. Grand Finals in Denton,
TX, Florida Region Rotax Max Regional Distributor FK Motorsports
is preparing to finish off the FL Region RMax year at an event
with many firsts.
October 10 & 11th, the first annual FL
RMax State Championship event. This years event will feature
the top 7 drivers from each class of the 3 FL Region RMax Challenges.
The 21 fastest RMax drivers in each of the 3 classes ( International,
Masters and Jr ) are invited to find out who's the best-of-the-best
in FL. This event will be broadcast on the Fox Sports Net Florida
network, and the top 3 in both of the Sr age classes will be
awarded Skip Barber Racing School prizes with a retail value
in excess of $10,500.
October 12th, the first Formula Kart 4-Hour
RMax Endurance event. This open-entry * event is the first of
many that we will be running, as we anticipate developing this
Endurance format during 2004. Very popular with many RMax racers,
Formula Kart intends to put some serious-fun back in the karting
scene with these Team Endurance competitions. Classes are available
for Jr ( 12-15 ) , Combined ( 12-up ) and Sr ( 15-up ) Each
team must consist of minimum 2 and maximum 4 drivers. *
Another first involves the location of the events. These events
will be the first official competitions at the newly completed
Primus Racing Park, a first-rate facility located just south
of St. Petersburg, FL.
