FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The recent announcements regarding the new homologation ICC engines has presented the FL Winter Tour with the opportunity to allow official competition for these engines. We intend to include the engines in official competition, but only under certain restrictions. Those restrictions are:

1. The new homologation engines will not be allowed to participate in the Palmetto rounds of the Winter Tour, scheduled for February 14 & 15. Note that we say they will not be allowed to "participate". This means that they will not be allowed to participate in any way, officially or unofficially. Participants should be aware that if they present a kart for competition with a new homologation engine, they will not be allowed to enter the track.

2. The new homologation engines will be allowed to participate at the Ocala rounds of the Winter Tour, scheduled for March 13 & 14. If a competitor registers and competes using a new homologation engine, they will be required to meet the 2004 SKUSA ICC engine regulations in effect on the event date in their entirety. Competitors using old homologation engines will compete using 2003 SKUSA ICC engine regulations.
