 The
6th Annual FL Winter Tour is now officially the 6th Annual FL
Winter Tour, presented by Hudlett Engines. Long time supporter
and 2-cycle engine guru Jeff Hudlett is once again performing
his very personal form of engine magic. Hudlett Engines has come
on-board as the Headline Tour sponsor to make sure everyone knows
that Hudlett Engines is back in the horsepower business. Contact

We are now less than two weeks away from the start of the Tour.
Based on the volume of phone calls, emails and pre-registrations,
I'd say we're going to see another record turnout. And speaking
of pre-registrations, let me once again STRONGLY encourage you
to take advantage of the on-line pre-registration found at www.formulakart.com
. This will save you $10 per race-day entry, and make your entry
into the event smooth and quick. Make sure you take advantage
of that now. Deadline for pre-registration is January 12th.
Remember that we are running a very different race-day schedule
from previous Tours. In the past the event-weekend consisted of
a Saturday of practice and qualifying, followed by a Sunday of
racing. This year we will have one practice session, qualifying
and racing on both Saturday and Sunday. Each race-day will begin
with a 15 minute split-group ( Senior - Junior ) engine break-in
session, followed by one 10 minute practice session, followed
by a 10 minute by-class qualifying session, a 15 lap pre-final,
and then a 25 lap final for Pro 125 and Formula S1, and a 20 lap
final for all other official classes. If the Mini Max class meets
the homologation requirements and is included in the race-day
they will run a 10 lap pre-final and a 15 lap final. For information

And speaking of Mini Max, as of today ( January 5th ) I have 6
of the 10 required pre-registrations. I still need 4 qualified
drivers to pre-pay their Tour entry fees if that class is to be
included at the Homestead round. If you want to participate, or
if you have questions about the class, contact me.
